Fides + Ratio AMFinding returns where no-one is looking
At Fides + Ratio Asset Management we believe that distinctive returns can only be found where no-one else is looking.
For more than 15 years, we’ve been analyzing hedge funds and trading programs. Over and again we have found that niche commodity traders deliver returns completely unrelated to other asset classes.
But, these traders are hard to find and limited in capacity. We think of them as “artisan traders”.
We find them, we vet them, we hire them. We blend their strategies into specialized programs designed to minimize variance and draw-down.
For the family office and institutional investor, we provide cost-effective access to over-looked and under-loved providers of diversification.

Niche Commodity Programs
Our traders each focus on a handful of futures markets. Often, they have spent their entire careers in the industries related to the commodities they trade. They have the benefit of an insider’s perspective – something no global macro or systematic trader could ever replicate.
Fides + Ratio Pure Commodity Program
This program combines trading teams specializing in the energy, agriculture, and metals markets. We target between 15 and 20 teams employing both systematic and discretionary styles, trading options, spreads, and outright positions. We apply systematic portfolio construction techniques to target volatility and control draw-down.
Fides + Ratio Pure Agriculture Program
This program combines niche commodity traders specializing in the grains, softs, and livestock markets. We target between 8 and 12 teams employing an active discretionary style. We apply systematic portfolio construction techniques to target volatility and control draw-down.
